Been on the farm too long...

So, today I take Ryan to the dr.s office as a follow up to his pneumonia E.R. trip to the hospital the other night. As we are waiting for our appointment, I notice there is a medical skeleton in the hallway of the waiting room. So, thinking I am going to be one heck of an informative mom, I decide to show Ryan the skeleton. Here is the conversation between Ryan and I:

Mom:  See Ryan, this skeleton is just like you on the inside.
Ryan:  (interest taken quickly)...Really?
Mom:  Yes.  Look, here is your chest, where they took the pictures of you the other night.  This is where your pneumonia was.
Ryan:  Oh.  Is dis what my head looks like?  And my back too?
Mom:  Yes.  And here are your arms.  And these are your legs.  Look at the feet.
Ryan:  Mom?  S'cuse me.  I half a question.  Uh...where are duh nuts?

His face looked kinda like this one here.  Very serious.  Definately a question worth asking, right?
Well, needless to say, I have to whisper to him that the skeleton doesn't have those.  These are "bones" that we are looking at.
As we turn around the waiting room, which I might add is a maternity room, so, full of moms with kids and expectant moms...we see this:

And this:

And even this:

Hmmmm....something tells me these people haven't been on a farm.  Something else tells me that I need to have my husband teach my children different terminology.

Raised my kids on a cattle ranch in southern Missouri... they learned about nuts, and with the pets that their kids have, they all know about nuts. Never mind about the audience, let the kids talk...
