Lordy Lordy!! It has been ages since I updated this thing!! Figured I better get on it, or else this baby will be here, and I will never get a chance to update!
Lots of nothings going on around here. Been keeping busy getting the end of the year crops in. Corn is in, and we are waiting on one more cut of grass silage. The weather is getting colder and wetter, so hope to get it done soon!!
Of course lots going on with the monkeys, from dentists, to ear nose and throat dr's, and on to optomologists...does it ever end?
So, here is our update in pictures...Enjoy!

I took this picture from my in-laws field.
Shows Mt. Baker in the background...
So pretty!!

Common scene around here right now...
Unwanted visitors!
Look at this ugly creature...it is like he has climbed over
the mountain and is wanting to invade us here on the Sumas Prairie...
He is actually hanging from the outside of my kitchen window!
Good Morning Spider...
I HATE Spiders...
Good Morning RAID!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

I am still getting used to the fact that Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October...
Just seems right to celebrate in November...
Needless to say, Thanksgiving here is on October 13, and we had our first family Thanksgiving.
Here is a bit of our fun...
Ryan made the centerpiece. Oranges (with cloves that Nicki made)
and walnuts from a walnut tree that we have never gotten walnuts from before, and this is the first year.

Joe helped with the mashed potatoes.

Yes, I know, LOOK AT THAT KNIFE!!!

Believe me, he was under my VERY WATCHFUL EYE!!!

And, little Miss. Nicki made the Ham.
All in all...it turned out very yummy! Nothing failed.
(I was a little shocked myself!!)

Joey Has Glasses!

We noticed Joe was doing alot of excessive blinking. Seemed odd, as he had never done that before, so we decided to take him in for an eye exam. He went in a regular, normal (ok, that might be stretching it a bit...) 7 year old boy...

Came out a farsighted, reading glasses kid!

Bratty Ryan says, "Neener Neener Neener!!! Joey is a..."
(Ok, maybe he wasn't saying that, but it just looked like it would be something a
bratty kid would want to say to someone with glasses.)
Joe seems to be adjusting just fine...
Here he is doing his homework with no complaints.

Cross Country...

Nicki decided to go out for Cross Country.
Not sure if she really loves to run, or if she was in it for the fact that she could
hang out with her BFF, Julia. :)
Here is the first, 2nd, and last meet times.
Notice Nicki and Julia finish together everytime...BUT...
each one is a minute better.
They ran a mile and 1/2, so from 14min to 12 min., is not too bad for the 4th grade!

First sight of his birthday presents.

Ryan got a new workbench which included these nifty goggles.

The only problem was, he couldn't figure out which side of his nose the

goggles were to go on!

It was tons of fun when Uncle Chris, Auntie Erica, Andrew,
Emily, Katie and Nathan all came by...
"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!!"
My intentions with Ryans cake were to make this bundt cake...
and then turn it into a MIRACULOUS, FABULOUS, AWESOME
#3!!! Oh what plans I had for this cute little cake!!!
Then when I finally figured out that the cake was not working out as I had planned...
I let Ryan decorate it and call it his own!! :)
(I won't even get into how everyone was telling me how terrible the cake was that evening! I don't know what on earth happened...the recipe sounded great. It smelled yummy. Other than my #3...it looked like it was supposed to...then we tasted it. OH MY!! Definately NOT something I was proud to serve to the in-laws!
